She lost her sight when she was very young, about three, due to an accident she was involved in. At first they had hopes that she'd recover her sight, but after a while it became clear that she would not.
She is fifteen, it's been eleven years, she doesn't remember what the world looks like, and her nightmares are her interpretation of the world, images of color and such still exist in the back of her mind, causing these dreams to be wildly colorful, full of what she wants to see, which is color. Even if the world she sees is chaotic, it's colorful, and that's all that matters for her.
At the end of the game when she jumped off the building, she wasn't on a very high floor, she was on the second floor, and she barely survived the fall, luckily for her, her parents found her outside soon after she jumped, and she was rushed to the hospital and luckily survived.
The fall caused her to break a few limbs, but since then she has recovered. The pain made her regret her actions, and she promised herself she'd never try to jump again.
Her dream diary she was writing was just full of scribbles, only she understood what was in there, she has it all written down in her memory. She wishes that she could write, that's the only reason why she keeps a dream diary.
